My ethernet card shows up in "other devices "in the device manager and it
will not load the driver. After 3 hours on the phone with HP they said the
ethernet card should be should be listed under "network adapters" so it
will load the driver.
I question this but does anyone know of a solution?
From where are you getting the driver? Since you called HP, I assume this isan HP computer. Download the latest driver for your ethernet adapter from
HP's website for your specific model computer. If it isn't "loading the
driver", you are probably trying to install the wrong one. After you
install it, the ethernet adapter will show up in Device Manager under
"Network Adapters" where it belongs.
