I am new here and still learning so I would like some advice on how to block someone such as Alias. So I need some advice on how to block someone in microsoft.public.windows.vista.general.
This is what I need to know and any help will be appreciated from anybody:
I am asking, how to Kill File someone in a Newsgroup.
Maybe this one will make it thru
You will need to select the symbol next to the help button (looks like a
drop box with a mouse cursor), and select SHOW MENU BAR.
Then from that MENU BAR, go to Tools, Message Rules,News.
Then you will create a rule in News Tab.
Select New... , Where from line contains people, select delete it in the box
below, then click on the blue "contains people" link.
Add whomever you desire( copying the name ahead of time helps), click add,
the save rule.
You will notice an apply now button, you need to use that for the rule to
take place on messages you already have.
Notice alias doesn't know squat about windows.
I don't use Windows Live Fail or Windows Fail and you will notice that I had a caveat that said "If it's anything like OE, ...". I do know that with XP if you install Windows Live Mail *and* Windows Live Messenger, you won't be able to completely defrag your hard drive again. I have seen this on dozens and dozens of Windows computers running XP. Uninstalling the two Fails does not rectify the defrag situation.
