Well, that's confusing! Administrator runs as standard user. Then why

First line of defense would be to install mozilla firefox and use it
instead of IE - it's much more secure. If you're really serious about
security, I would also suggest you start looking at alternatives to MS
- they make the least secure line of systems on the planet.

It's true that Linux won't (natively) run MS software. It will run free equivalents for what you would need most. It's also true that Linux is not inferior to anything. A guy brought an XP computer over for repair today. Firewall disabled. No anti virus. No anti malware program. Everything you try to open crashes.

Anyone stupid enough to run a PC like deserves to be infected. I've never had any malware/spyware or anything else on my PC.
