tried switching UAC off that solved it,
but wel well microsoft instantly started bugging me about a security error
it didnt like.
get rid of on anoyance and microsft replaces it with another.

Problem really solved now
1. format disk
2. install linux
3. install open office
4. install linux versions of the other programs vista didnt like

PC runs twice as fast now as it did under vista
Yes, because none of the programs that will run under Vista and XP will be on the Linux machine. They will be little software on it.
Exactly

A CLEAN install not all the crap that microsoft rams down your throat that you forced to install

we only need a word processor, spread ***, email and some of our inhouse applications

so easy to re-write for linux
i did some basic costing and if it come out in around the area i think my boss said i'll get a pay rise and a new company car 2 levels up from what im allowed now

linux has other hidden benifits lol

This is totally outrageous. You have no clue, none, as to what you're doing or talking about. You have no clue as to the total cost of conversion from one platform infrastructure to another. And apparently your boss doesn't either.

Did he hire you right out of Taco Bell?

Teaching someone to use TBird and Open Office isn't exactly a difficult transition, sport. Slipping a Linux distro into a DVD ROM/RAM isn't either.

This clown is talking servers and rewriting in-house software, which you have no clue as to what you're talking about either, as to what that takes.

Gosh, installing a Linux server is so hard for morons like you that you have to lie again to try and cover up your inability to run Linux.

Are you this stupid, home-user? You have never gone through a conversion of applications in-house written that is using a different file structure, databases, Web services, a totally different back-end infrastructure, programming languages, etc, etc.

You do NOT know what you are talking about, and what it really takes.

Keep on posting, looking like some kind of a clown.

Oh, you now change the subject to something you know nothing about and assume that the change would be difficult even though you don't know what programs the OP was talking about, speaking of clueless clowns.
