Running from administrators account

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I am trying to install a program (http://www.hauppauge.com/site/support/support_digital_signal_monitor.html) and I get this alert:

Error
You do not have access to make the required system modifications. Please rerun the application from an administrators account.
OK

The problem is that I am the only user of the laptop and in Control Panel > User Accounts I see my name and underneath it it says: Administrator / Password protected. First time I encounter this kind of problem. What should I do?
