Is it safe to delete "windows.old" from my hard disk?
It slows my virus scans down, and takes up room.
Hi Pete--
A windows.old folder is created when you install vista on a drive that
still has files on it. It is intended to protect files from your
previous windows in case you want them, and in your case you can
shift+delete it.

Thanks.
I'll nuke it.
Anyway, I use Acronis backup which has saved my *ss many times!
I nuked it, and the ceiling didn't fall in. :-)
It's on a time-delay fuse...
Nah. You won't even need the B/U on Acronis...
