Re: How to wake from sleep mode

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

moving the mouse or keyboard has worked for the past year, but now it does
not. The only change I have made was to add a new DVD burner, the old one
stopped working. Now i can not wake up the comuter by wiggling anything.
How do you "update the bios"? Thanks

You out of of your mind all you have to do is move the mouse or keyboard to
wake the computer and works great. About six months ago i had the problem
where my computer would not wake up after i installed a new processor then
after updating the bios from the manafacture every thing worked great no
problems.

Actually, that's just the way Vista works. When it goes to Sleep, you must
press the power button to wake it up, unlike XP where you could move the
mouse or press a button on the keyboard to do so.

How do I do this. I just started having this same problem. No problem
for
the first year of this computer's life, but suddenly I cannot wake it and
have to hard boot by turning the power off every time I return after not
using the computer for a while. I already tried changing the power
options
to see it that would make difference but it does not.

I appreciate your help! Thanks

Hi,

Check your system BIOS for "wake on" features, they may currently be
disabled.

Can someone tell me how to Wake my computer from Sleep Mode? When my
computer goes into Sleep Mode, I can't wake it by hitting a key on the
keyboard or by moving my mouse (like in XP). I have to push the power
button
on the computer. I've done some searches for the problem here and on
Google
but still can't find a good answer. Thank you for the help.
