Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Hey, I'm back.

I finally got it to restore from the boot position, backed it to the 5th and it worked. Goody.

Well, I think I have everything backed up. Looks like I'll have to format the big disk and start over. Boy, I wish I had chosen sp.

Are you able to do the first method instead?

If not, then this will show you how to create a boot disk to use to go
to the "System Recovery Options" screen to do the System Restore from.

Hope this helps,

I would like to try the # 2 option but have been
unsuccessful getting into that pre boot mode.
