Hey, I'm back.
I finally got it to restore from the boot position, backed it to the 5th and it worked. Goody.
I BELIEVE the offending program that kicked this crap off was "PhotoFiltret"

Are you able to do the first method instead?
If not, then this will show you how to create a boot disk to use to go
to the "System Recovery Options" screen to do the System Restore from.
