That's been their policy since the beginning. MS holds their paying customers in utter disdain and laugh about it all the way to the bank.

Much like your uguntu policy?

Not at all.

Sell something they could freely download?

I don't sell uguntu or Ubuntu. Oops.

Hypocrisy.

No, you grasping at straws.

Alias

So, it's OK for you to make money off something you have no part in developing...

Of course it is. I provide a service. How many people that install Windows for people are MS employees or had anything to do with developing the OS?

How would I know?
It's so friggen easy, I do it myself.
If you back up data...there is no need for a home user to pay anyone.

I have had clients that don't know how to make a new folder, what a degrag is or a chckdsk. You need to get out more. I have one client that even though he watches me install XP, he insists on my doing it and paying me.

I do get out.
I don't do computers for a living, so when I do get out...it's with cool people.
You seem to have stupid clients.
Wish I could sell them something too.

Now, corporate enviroments are different...its smart to pay someone.

Unless they have an IT department that does that.

I assume they PAY them.
You aren't to swift.

But a large company that employs thousands of people(Microsoft) should not?

I never have said that I have a problem with MS making money. I do think that they trick people into buying Windows more times than they need to with their scurvy activation/become genuine crap. I personally plan to spend money on Windows 7 because, after installing the BETA, it looks good.

They trick people ?
You mean it's packaged in a Corn Flakes Box....people get home...SUPRISE!

No, they go to Windows Update and WGA gives them a false positive and they erroneously think they have a pirated version and go out and buy a new copy of Windows.

Got a link of that happening?
Not a blog of some idiot that says that happens.

I can just see an old couple.
"I wondered why that cereal was $150"

You're being stupid.

Incorrect.
You are often wrong.

Open Source is a strange concept.
The people with the least skill get paid.
The people with the talent to write software work for free.
It's like you're from another planet.

We're sorry you don't understand. Maybe if you smoke some pot you will understand and maybe you'll chill out at the same time.

Don't smoke pot.
I shoot heroin straight into my eyeballs....lol

That explains why you can't see.

Yes.
Clever comeback.
I scared of you now.
