People do not want it. When it comes to computers people will always buy a oem product with windows or a mac. Why you may ask? Simple really, They come with everything the "average person" would need like a operating system already installed and already configured and guaranteed to work straight out of the box. No installing different products just to make things work together! Try being honest here. Would you buy a television that you had to take home and piece together to be able to watch tv? with no guarantee it will work? People of the world are notoriously lazy and if available will always take the easy way! It is "human nature" to do so. As stated later in the "replies" your so called dream system is only 1% of the market and it will stay that way. Now 10years from now if Ubuntu or anything other than Microsoft windows or Apple's mac does better than 50% of the market than I guarantee everyone here will look back and think differently, until then though try not to ram it down peoples throats because opinions are like noses, "Everone has a different one"!
Sorry, pal, but Ubuntu works right out of the box and is much easier to use, install, update and find programs than any flavor of Windows.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahah.
Unless you happen to use wireless,ATI,Nvidia SLI, or any computer worth a damn.
Your stoned if you think its gotten that easy.
Every computer I have installed Ubuntu on had no issues and worked right out of the box.
Not only that, it's free and is bulletproof compared to Windows when it comes to fending off malware. If you feel I am jamming something down your throat, shut your mouth. MS is jamming crap into the Internet everyday with their virus and malware prone "operating systems".
Free ?
Hey, the man can read!
How much is it for you to install it ?
A reasonable fee.
If its so easy to install, why are people paying you to install it ?
It's easy for someone with some tech savvy. For newbies, Windows or Ubuntu is difficult to install.
You can't find a simple chess program (alt.os.linux.ubuntu).
He gave me the wrong name of the program. Sorry, but if you expect me to know all of the programs available in Ubuntu, you will be disappointed.
Why don't you back up that virus BS by showing me how to get one.
I asked you once, and you ran off with yout tail between your arthritic legs.
You may know how to secure a Windows install. Most people don't and click on URLs in IM and attachments in email. I see infected computers every day and most of them want Ubuntu.
The above are an irrevocable FACTS that you obviously have a problem living with.
If ubuntoot was worth a shit, you wouldn't post here every single day and night.
You post way more than I do and your posts are ALL insults and lies.
Thunderbird the only program you figured out how to use ?
Of course not.
