Hate to give you the bad news but a former Mozilla team has released
a new email/calendar/tasks/etc. program that is Open Source and will
kick Outlook's expensive ass. So, hot shot, you got new FUD to spread
and new lies to tell so you better get busy.
Yeah, Been hearing that for 10 years.
Linux has been whooping its way to 1% for 15 years.
Just quit now MS...or don't.
Either way, Open Sores won't be an issue.
You ARE one of those people that thinks Open Source = Linux.
How wrong you are......
http://www.opensourcewindows.org/
I'll pick out at least 3 programs on the first page that are great OS
programs...
Firefox - Yes, we know how YOU feel about that, but apparently 40+% of
users disagree. Available for Linux as well.
Pidgin IM - (I rarely do IM, only to text my son) but Pidgin has the
ability to connect to multiple IM systems simultaneously. Available for
Linux.
MediaPlayer Classic - Which comes with almost any codec needed. AND, and
this is a big AND.....is a media viewer....it plays music files and video
files, that's it. Small and fast.
Paint.NET - The *ONLY* .Net application I have ever installed, and it has
sufficient features for most home users.
FileZilla - BY *FAR*, the BEST FTP client available. This is probably the
only piece of s/w I will ever say is 'the best' of anything. Available
for Linux.
So that's 5 Open Source s/w packages, for Windows (and some Linux), that
are quality apps, both feature-wise and usability.
Your opinion.
Head fixin to explode ?
Its another opinion, and wrong as usual.
I visit my wife in an office where 125 people use Firefox, and ...get this....due to the IT guy preferring it.
The workers could care less.
They use it cause its the shortcut on the desktop to the internet.
No other reason.
There's a hundred people using it that don't give a crap about it.
The IT guy hates MS, cause he runs into problems.
Guess what, Firedfox still locks up, crashes, won't load images....and generally does what all programs do...behave unexpectedly at times.
Its personal opinion that drives all preferences !
There's a clue.
If only the very best existed, there would be one car company, one restaurant chain, and one brand of pickles.
But personal opinion interferes.
What a dip you must be.
But..this is a MS Vista NG...and this BS comes in here all the time.
Then , I post in ubuntu...NO, No, No,,,I'm horrible, opinionated, and an attacker.
Hey dude...guess what ?
Fuck You.
Fuck You you lying bullshitter.
You come in here to play, then whine about it.
Get bent.
You wouldn't know a fact if it was located in your empty skull.
