there is no problem in device manager. unfortunately i can't open the case because of the warranty.
can you give me more details about where can i disable usb in bios ?

I have had something similar happen to me on one occasion. My solution was to go into BIOS, disable the internal USB for the card reader.
Full power down and restart.
Then reenable in BIOS, with another full power down and restart. It then found the usb/card reader.
(I suspect that it would also have been OK to unplug the USB connector inside the case but BIOS was easier in my case).

About 2 days ago, my internal sd card reader disappeared from vista. Until
this time it works perfectly ( it was accessable via "computer" as removable
drives ) but after formatting my system and performing Windows updates, it's
gone. Usb drive on card reader still works but sd card slot not responding.
I've already tried reinstalling drivers, also installing a clean Vista but
nothing changed. And also tried activating removable drives management from
Vista options.

I think hardware is still ok but how can i use it again ?
