The error message i get with IE (-after waiting a very long time for a
page to try loading-) is:
•Internet connectivity has been lost. •The website is temporarily unavailable. •The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable. •The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the
website's domain. •There might be a typing error in the address. •If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click
Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS
protocols are enabled under the security section. etc etc etc

Also check your SSL and TSL settings to be enabled in the browser.
What does HTTPS, TSL and SSL mean to you as a user/home user/whatever user that is using a browser to visit Web site that is a secure or non secure Web site?
You should just understand the concepts a little bit and not go to deep into, just understand the concept and look for the HTTPS as part of a Web site's address in the browser's address line.

Banks and other such Web sites that are concerned about security with *you* the user using a browser and accessing the bank's Web site are using a secure connection.
