System restore, not to mention 'last known good' make any registry change worries pretty slim.

Uh, in what way's (if any) can running that tool muck up my computer if things don't go as planned? Any chance I'll be spending hours trying to make it usable again?.
Thanks.

First, I UNchecked "Lock the Taskbar"
Then I made the desired changes to the taskbar.
Shouldn't I then be able to RE-lock the Taskbar?
I did all of that, but on re-booting, the changes were lost.
Thanks.

Changes that I make to the toolbar at the bottom of the screen disappear the next time I boot up. Specifically, I add the Address window (by right clicking the toolbar, highlighting Toolbars, and checking Address). I also rearrange the order of some of the icons on the Quick Launch bar.
Next boot up, the Address window is gone, and the Quick Launch icons are back in the original order.
Suggestions?
Thanks.
