What is in the distribution IS the operating system.

you better reinstall your definition of "operative system".

You'd think an MVP would know the difference between an operating system and a program.

just like you should know the difference between a Vista and Ubuntu group?

Ah, but I do know the difference. We know you're afraid of Ubuntu because it may very well cost you your run adaware for money business.

By the time that any Linux distro has the same customer base as Windows, it will be plagued by infections,

A lie and it reveals you don't know anything about Linux architecture.

and you still will not know anything or have any respect or regard for what people want out of their computers..

Your ill informed lie and insult is noted.

Do you really think that virus writers and hackers will sit idly by as underdeveloped countries and government departments get Linux distros foisted onto them?

They have no choice.

You push Ubuntu because you can't afford a Windows PC really,

I have three PCs and all of them have XP on it, LIAR! I have Vista sitting on the shelf gathering dust because I just don't care for it and XP runs all the games I have now. When all the games require Vista, I will reinstall it, probably next year when SP2 comes out.

and jealousy drives you to want to bring everybody down to your level.

Your arm chair psychological diagnosis is BULLSHIT.

Linux has given the world three things.. a good server OS for, a platform for hackers to ply their trade, and newsgroup trolls..

Again, you obviously don't know much about Ubuntu.

What can be done with Ubuntu:

Email
Surf the web
Burn CDs.
Rip CDs.
Listen to music.
Watch vidoes/DVDs.
Scan and print.
Spreadsheets.
Presentations
Newsgroups.
HTML editing.
Games like Chess, Tetris, all kinds of solitaire, etc.
Make videos.
Download photos from a camera and organize them.
Translations.
Use a dictionary
Learn how to touch type.
Edit images.
Send and receive a fax.
Take screenshots.
Create .PDF files.
Create and use a data base.
Instant messaging with over 10 different programs in one including Windows Live Messenger.
IRC.
Bluetooth.

and much more!

What you can't do with Ubuntu:

Worry about:
WPA and WGA raising their ugly heads,
DRM,
Viruses,
Root kits,
Spyware,
and
Malware.

My website contains free info re spyware and how to get rid of it, as do the websites of most other MVP's. When we do go out to customers, it is to help them and not leave them with a system that does not do all that they want it to do..

Yeah, you charge them after you run AdAware, Spybot, Defenseless and some an anti virus program, something, if you taught them how to do, they could do themselves buy I understand you gotta eat.
