Its laggy.
Half the crap don't work.
You-tube videos play choppy, or don't play.

I don’t know what you are doing but Ubuntu has superior performance in speed and video playback than vista here....

Graphics suck.
Sound sucks.

Not the case here either.. I am dualbooting a desktop and laptop (laptop has xp and ubuntu and desktop has vista and ubuntu)

and ubuntu is faster than vista.... (xp is about the same as ubuntu)

the sound was detected automatically and the graphics is 3d desktop... very nice...

you just seem that you want to troll without proof that ubuntu is worse..

My experience with ubuntu version 8.10 was fantastic!

You compare people who believed in sea monsters to computer users !

No, I compared someone who's arguing that because many people
believe windows is "better" it must actually be better to someone who
thinks the earth is flat.

Then...why don't people use and stick with a free OS ?
Cause it's a hodgepodge of packages.

Games don't play.
Graphics suck.
Sound sucks.
Too much open source, proprietary software mingling.
Linux is barely Open source anymore.

In 2008 as in every year prior....Windows is better than linux.

Maybe. But the fact that many people BELIEVE that is not
evidence of truth.

Hey, you're a computer user, right? How about some technical
facts?

Technically, Linux sucks for regular PC users.
At 1% usage...that's hard, undeniable evidence it sucks.
Statistically speaking...Linux is an anomaly.

Buy the way...On my PD3.4 /2G Ram/2 NV8800 ....

Vista boot ... 23 seconds
debian boot...42 seconds.

Good god...Go Vista !

XP is 25 seconds.

As usual, linux advocates need lies.

Time the shut downs.

Alias

Vista = 11 sec.
Debian = 9 sec.

Linux wins shutting down.
Linux has always won getting shutdown.

LOL.
