Re: Vista Blue Screen Crash while accessing the properties of a file

Hi Kevin,

Hard to tell if they are related, aspi32.sys is an adaptec file used as a storage cable controller driver. It's certainly conceivable that it is. You might check for updated drivers for the motherboard.

As is turns out the vss service never really starts on my PC, it's a manual
start. I had to reboot because of an update so after i rebooted i started the
service and tried to access the Previous Versions tab, again Blue Screen
Crash.. In the event viewer the crash dump initialization again fail and on
start-up a driver always fails to load it's called ASPI32, don't know if this
will help in any way..

Hi Kevin,

Ok, first stop the vss service, disable it and reboot. Then restart it. This
can be done from the services.msc snap-in. See if this resolves the issue of
the crashes.
