If they have problem, they call up their friends to help get it fixed. Suggesting that they use anything other than Yahoo or MSN doesn't work. They want what there friends use..

Both Yahoo and Windows Live Messenger (MSN Messenger no longer exists; please try to keep up) can be configured in Pidgin along with AIM, ICQ and many more.
These sweeping generalities about what someone will or will not do/need with their computer are just masked FUD crap from ill informed "MVP"s and their fanbois.
