No one can hack or eavesdrop on the data transmitted between your wireless router and your wireless client machine when the Web browser and Web site are in a HTTPS session, because the secure connection is between the Web browser and Web site, and data is encrypted/decrypted at both ends of a HTTPS session so that it can't be hacked or eavesdropped on.

I use wireless and banking all the time - no problems.

You "may" very well be right. I don't know shit about PC's. I learned enough to do what I want, and have never been interested in all the "tech". It makes me nervous because every time the topic of wireless routers comes up, you see people who claim to know what they are talking about, and sound like maybe they do, saying it is un safe and can be dropped in on. Since I don't know who to believe, and don't feel like trying to wade through all the info myself, I just avoid doing banking over the wireless. Normally just use the desktop, which is not hooked to the wireless router. Since I found out I can by a 100 ft cable so cheap and that it will work, I can run a outlet to the living room and use my laptop, without using the wireless. It may well be secure, but I have no doubt a bunch of people are going to chime in here and say it's not, and I have no idea who really knows what they are talking about.
