I wonder if now this ng can have a discussion on the merits of Vista vs Linux.
If so then I can see that printing and scanning are the items in Vista favor. Everything else, except for some standardization of where applications are stored (what folders) appears to be in favor of Linux. There also appears to be less things in Linux that one finds very annoying.
Well, one problem with Linux is that the majority of the Linux users who cannot help but visit Windows groups post inane drivel. There are some Linux users on here who are genuinely helpful (and thank you once again for that), but to me the majority do not seem to have the first clue about the real world.
BTW...does the OP actually have a clue? Are not printing and scanning heavily dependant upon the manufacturer's drivers? If it was supposed to be a trick question, then it fails miserably. And as for the second point? Pffft...nutcase!! :-)
I must admit, though, that I've found less annoying things in Linux, because all I can usually bear doing is playing some of the games, and trying out the screensavers! :-)
Cheers
JW
