No, I blame Microsoft for allowing ASUS to put a Certified to work
with Vista sticker on their packaging and also on their web site
pretending the SATA controllers on their motherboard were capable of
working with Vista.

Asus submitted their drivers to MS for certification.
That means those drivers will/should ship with that Vista certified mobo.

They were not until several months later.

Well, again you must be in the deeper stages of dementia than you
thought or think you are cause you said you dl'ed the correct drivers
from Asus in order to get your SATA drivers to work with Vista when you
first got the mobo.
Were you lying?
Not supplying the correct drivers with your Vista certified Asus mobo is
Asus fault.
MS had nothing to do with that snafu.
