Hello: Can anyone direct me to a Microsoft article detailing the
installation of S & T 2003 with Vista? I've searched & it seems it can be
installed but I can't find a detailed procedure - I don't want to end up
with
a hosed-up, crashed installation. Thanks for any assistance from your
collective experiences.
When you write "Student & Teachers" do you mean MS Office? If yes, there's
nothing special about its installation except that I always suggest
installing with Custom options. With all versions of Office, as long as the
hard drive is big enough (and nowadays they all are), I like to use the
Custom Install and choose everything I want to "Run all from hard drive".
That way when you do updates you don't need to go searching for the
installation disk.
After the installation, don't remove any files and then start one of its
components, activate it (activation of one works for all), and then go to
Microsoft Office online and get updates. We're up to Service Pack 3 and
there are some subsequent updates to that.
These suggestions are the same for both XP and Vista.
For more details, assuming that you do mean Office, post in one of the
Office newsgroups. Find the right one for your question here:
