you create a share if it isn't, but Windows is freaky sometimes.

Security. But I completely uninstalled NIS on each machine via their
Norton Removal Tool and retried the map with the same error. While I
have Windows Firewall off, the File and Printer Sharing is checked.
May I ask, what Firewall are you using?
