Re: After 5 clean installs, still can't install Creator 10 on Ultimate

I've had all the problems everyone else has had trying to install EMC 10
on a Vista machine. Now I read here that I also have to remove all
remnants of XP. But I have both XP and Vista on my PC so that I can
still run programs on XP that don't run on Vista. If I completely
remove XP, then I can't use those programs at all, so this "solution"
doesn't seem to be of much value!
Whether the problem lies in EMC 10 or Vista I don't know, but the
product shouldn't be sold unless it works. To me, "it works" means that
the program shouldn't have trouble locating its own files, it shouldn't
keep trying to reinstall iteslef every time the application is opened,
and runtime errors shouldn't pop up when you try to do something!
For what it's worth, Roxio gave up on trying to help me after I tried
everything they suggested over a two week period.
And I'm sorry, but suggestions like, "Well, just erase all your hard
drives, reinstall Vista, reinstall EMC 10, and never install any other
software on your machine and it might work," aren't really suggestions.
The product has some serious problems - period.
