Re: Word 2003 has stopped working

Help please....just recently I have been having trouble opening Word
2003 in a VISTA operating system. I immediately get an error message
that tells me Word has stopped working when it hasn't even opened. It
then tells me a problem has stopped it from working but doesn't indiate
what problem and tells me "a solution will be sent to me once one is
found.

When I again try to open a document, it tells me it can't locate it. I
then try to open WORD 1st (not the document 1st) and I get an error
message: Word failed to start correctly last time. Starting word in
safe mode will help you correct or isolate a start up problem in order
to successfully start the program. Some functionality may be disabled
in this mode.

I tried to detect and repair and it said it was successful but I still
have the problem. Has anyone else experienced this and do you have any
advice how to resolve this? Thanks in Advance!

If you can't get the issue reconciled, you might want to give
OpenOffice.org a try - it will probably do what you need.
