Re: pc doesnt shut. it resets

Look in the Event Viewer for hints about what file or driver is doing that during shutdown
Click Start, and type:
eventvwr.msc
hit enter
you could also run:
perfmon /rel
click the 'x' s to see what is going wrong

thats it. i tell pc to shut down but it doesnt, it resets and then a window
pops up and says it has recovered from an error
