What in the world was microsoft thinking putting this on the market. What is worst is why companies like Acer who have not trained their people on vista are putting it on their freshly built system and fools like me purchase one. I spent good hard earned money that was by the very blood and sweat of my husband who works 80 hour weeks to purchase and pay our bills. Our old system died and we bought into the hype of Best Buys how great this was Bull and Capital BULL. We live pay check to pay check...my retirement is a nightmare and you aren't making things any easier.....

Mr. Gates have you ever had to choose between working part-time online and trying to pay for your medical and buying software because the companies you work for insist on the new crap you have out? Have YOU?

I had problems from day one and I start going on a merry-go-round with microsoft best buy and acer. Microsoft said I needed to go back to the manufacture, went to Acer and they said to go to Best Buy's, because they have not been trained on Vista, and Best buys sent me back to Microsoft. When do I get off, it is making me dizzy!?!

1. I was told from square one that my office pro xp would work with the system. That is only partically correct.

2. I was told by Acer they were forced into putting this and imprint vista on the motherboards so no one who bought any of their machines could go back to a former operating system, Why?

3. Most of the office programs out there do not work well with Vista. The program is so large you have to have a 2 to 3 gig memory to run the darn thing. It does not play well with others!!!!!!!

4. I am now told that Microsoft will shortly not even talk to anyone with less than a Microsoft office 2003 or better on their machines even in paid tech support. I got that from two of your senior techs Mr. Gates.

5. I am handicapped and I cannot work...that is no one problem according to your staff from overseas who are insensitive and rude. They treat people like crap and we are suppose to tolerate it and pay for it at the same time.

6. I can not afford to go out and buy new office software and that is a fact and God himself can back me up. Want to donate I doubt that in the highest respect I can give you.

Why?I was once promised from one of your top people to send me Expressions Web and they sent me a copy that does not work correctly. They promised to resend it out. Well it has been a year and I still haven't seen it Mr........I email you recently about it.

Why did he send me a free copy, because I was insulted by a member of your staff while the supervisor was listening. I was called stupid and treated like dirt and called other names.

7. My office Pro xp stopped working yesterday for the third time. Had to reinstall it again. How many more times will this happen with Vista?

Well Mr. Gates you got a great company and I have stuck by you through all of the past 20 years and never felt you did me wrong, but over the past two years I have been changing my mind about Microsoft.

Can you really afford to throw your customers under the bus so to speak and just walk away?

How many times can you do this before people just stop believing in Microsoft and start going else where?

You got some problems to resolve and I got some serious thinking to do.

If you want to talk to me, I am listening. But I can guarntee you I will never have these issues addressed by microsoft. That is why they have the perveribal carpet to sweep any unpleasantness under the carpet. I may no longer hold a job but I am not stupid, being handicapped does not create a lesser person. Your staff seems to think so.

Your Acer will run Ubuntu. It's free and comes with Open Office, also free. Not only that, you don't need 2 gigs of memory. One will do just fine :-) In addition, it comes with access to over 23,000 FREE programs and is bullet proof compared to Windows in regards to viruses, malware, root kits and DRM. It does not need to be activated or become "genuine". Order the CD or download it and burn the image to a CD. You can then go into your BIOS and set it to boot from the CD first and test drive Ubuntu without installing it to see how you like it.

Get it at http://www.ubuntu.com/

Oh, and ignore "FB". He is the most disgusting troll I have ever seen on Usenet and I've been using Usenet since 97.
