Re: Installing Warcraft 3


Hello, I run a 32bit vista, and I have problems with WC3. I can install
Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos, but I can't update the patches. I've tried
downloading and installing it manually from the Blizzard site and also
through Bnet, but it doesn't work.

This is the error message:

This patch upgrades Warcraft III Reign of Chaos from the previous
version.

ERROR: unable to open source archive 'C:\Program Files\Warcraft
III\war3x.mpq'

RESULT: Patch failed-

I also tried to install Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne, and it gets stuck
halfway and doesn't continue to read. After that happens, many times it
will say that it can't read my Reign of Chaos either.

I've been trying all sorts of things for the past 5 days, even
reinstalling OS Vista, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
