Hi,
I decided to format my computer then I copied my document, my pictures, my
music and downloads folder to another partition drive's 'backup' folder.
Before I format my C drive, I checked copied files are safe and I can access
all of files.
However, I can not access backup folder after reinstall windows vista.
Actually, I could access before patch but I cant access after patch.
Patch? What is "patch"?
Windows update I mean. vista SP1
windows explorer shows backup folder to 0byte size file but hard disk size
shows there is data. what I mean, all files size are 105G but hard disk usage
is 200G becuase back up file size is about 100G.
Confusing.
When I try to access 'backup' folder, it changed to 0byte file. not a folder
anymore.
other files in D drive size is 105G, backup files size is about 100G.
If 'backup' file(originally folder) is 0byte then used size should 105G but
my D drive's used size is 200G now.
How can I solve this problem? I reinstalled windows vista 4times and
installed windows XP but still I cant access backup folder.
You installed Vista AND XP? Or you stopped trying Vista and then
installed XP?
I format C drive again and installed windows XP for check.
What should I do to solve this problem?
Please help me.
Anyway, I called to MS and they checked my computer by remote control. They
think its SP1 fault. They think SP1 changed or damaged on file system, so
cant access now. They said to me ask to restore data solution company to
restore my files.
