Re: Where did Windows Explorer go???

I'm on my home laptop with Vista now and I can't get the Windows Explorer to work the way it should. I am guessing it has something to do with some kind of "View" setting I need to change, but I can't figure out what that is. I want to be able to use Windows Explorer and navigate among the files and folders with a split screen so when I click on a folder in the left half of the screen, what is in that folder gets listed on the right half of the screen.

Any ideas on what settings I may need to change?

Have you noticed the little "up" arrow at the bottom left-hand side of the window that says "Folders"? Click on that and you will get err, the Folder list....

Thanks. Well, this is weird. I have two identical Acer laptops -- one at work and one at home. Both have Vista. I just tried the folders up/down arrow that you suggested on the laptop at work and it works fine. In fact, the whole issue I had regarding Windows Explorer in Vista, isn't a problem on the Vista laptop at work. I see the split screen, I can navigate like I always could with Windows Explorer in XP, etc.

So, something must be messed up with my Vista laptop at home.
