Re: How do I create an outline for an object

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hello Dave,

It's often better to avoid ungrouping shapes if you can as the process can
damage any clever behaviour that might be designed into the shape.

So a better route might be to remove the offending person shapes from the
grouped shapes using the View / Drawing Explorer Window. You'll notice that
the shape is made up of about 30 individual shapes so click on each one in
the Explorer to select it on the drawing page. Once selected you can rmove
its Delete protection by unchecking the "From deletion" box under Format /
Protection...

Once you've removed the protection you're free to delete the Copy Guy for
ever, leaving the outline shape in tact.

Best regards

John

I have inserted the "Copy Center" object from the "Departments" *** of
objects and would like to remove the "person" portion of the object.

So, I ungrouped it, deleted all components of the "person" and would like
to
replace the black "OUTLINE" that used to be around the original object.

How do I do that?

thanks
Dave
