It sounds like you went to File > Shapes > My Shapes - but then what? Did
you click on Favorites to open the Favorites stencil? From there you need
to click on the little green icon at the top and choose Edit Stencil. That
will allow you to double click the master shapes in the stencil to edit
them. Then you can drag a revised shape back into your drawing.

I'm new to Visio.
I have inherited an org charts of various department which has 'kind of
header as in MS Word'. Reading through the forum, I realised it is master
drawing.
I want to change it via File---> Shapes--->My shapes.
I dragged it to the stencil and double clicked it to change/modify but it
wont let me do this at all.
Question is
1. Am I doing it the right way ?
2. If not, could someone please provid eme step x step process to change
it ?
Any help appreciated.
