Re: Text for Visio 2003 Stencil

Hello again,

unfortunately the paste special command did not work for me. I was not able
to find enhanced metafile as an option.

Hmm. I see the Shape*** will take a value of 0.25pt, for instance, but it
appears the text stays at 1pt.

One idea as to getting smaller font sizes is to convert the text to a
metafile. Perhaps the shapes you have seen already had this done. This only
makes sense if the user doesn't need to change the text - ie: it's a logo or
model name or something.

To get the metafile, copy the shape, then choose Edit > Paste Special, and
choose Enhanced Metafile.

Now your pasted-shape is a "dumb graphic" and will resize proportionally in
all respects.

Is less-than-1pt text really useful to you???!!!

I have created about 6 templates, and would like to be able to have them
fit
inside a rack.

The problem I am having is, when I resize the shape to fit into a standard
rack. The text size is limited to 1 pt. Once the text reaches 1 pt the
text
becomes unreadable and too large for the Stencil itself.

If I expand it to a larger image the text resizes accordingly, when using
the formula =(Height/x.xxxx m) * x pt.

Is there any formula I can use to allow the text to be smaller than 1pt.
Grouping the drawing doesn't seem to help.

I have seen shapes which have this done, but going through the shape***,
I
cannot figure out which formula allows this to happen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
