I should have asked before; what version of Visio are you running?
The technique works for the Process shapes in the Basic Flowcharting stencil
for Visio 2003.

Thanks John - I am using dynamic connectors. However when I drag a shape
(process box) onto an existing connector which is joining two existing
shapes, all it does is move the connector around the box - keeping the
original join between the two shapes.
Any ideas?

If you are using Dynamic connectors you can drop a shape on an existing
connector and the connector will be broken and the shape inserted.
Hover the shape over the Dynamic Connector and two red squares will show.
These are the new connection points.

Hi
I have an existing business process diagram in visio. After a meeting
with
colleagues I now need to move some shapes around in the diagram.
Is it possible to move an existing shape to an existing connector in
between
2 existing shapes?
It is extremely painful to remove existing connectors, only to have to
re-establish them again once I have moved the shape.
Please help!
