No ... I want a simple solution. Guess I have use my naked eyes to

I don't think David is trying to sell you anything. In fact, I think
both CVS and Subversion are free. And there are more.
Anyway, what he's telling you it's probably the best advice you'll
ever get about software development: use a versioning system. In fact,
it's the most basic one. If you try to do anything but "Hello World"
programs, you should be using a versioning system. Otherwise, you WILL
have troubles, sooner or later.
