Since I upgraded the Norton AntiVirus on my home pc (XP) I now have time for lunch; wash dishes; and mow both lawns!
Even after the desktop appears the time between clicking an icon and something happening has become unacceptable.
I am seriously looking for another AV software that doesn't hog my resources while it does a Live Update :-(
