All PCs have the same pixel size.
Not quite so.
Just think about this:
- my T61p laptop has a 15.4" screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200
- for my desktop I still have an old 19" Viewsonic, at 1280 x 1024
Just divide the width of the screen to the horizontal resolution to
get the pizel size.
Or, to put it differently: a fixed-size application (in pixels) that
is 800x600 is about 2/3 of my desktop screen. But it is less than 1/2
of my laptop screen. And the laptop scren is smaller in size.
So what looks ok on my desktop is unreadable on my laptop.
