I type at 70wpm when I get wound up, and _T() is not that hard to type.
My 20-page term paper has turned into a 250-page book draft, and has freaked out my
professors completely (they approved the outline...I just filled it in...) so typing is
not one of my greater challenges.

_T() is reflexive.
Is it? On a US English keyboard, you have to hold Shift down while typing 4
characters. Furthermore, the T is usually struck with your left hand, and
the rest of the characters are struck with your right hand, meaning you will
have to switch the Shift keys. It's not an easy sequence to type at all.
There is absolutely no reason at all for the IDE not to be able to decorate
the raw string with the appropriate prefix, as Giovanni suggested.
