I've just tried it on a Vista VM and if I switch the Vista UI to
Windows Classic or Standard it appears the same as with XP. However,
with Vista Basic UI (I can't check Aero), there's no obvious
indication the button is disabled until the Sleep expires, then
there's a brief flicker.
Thanks for confirming that you get the same problem Dave - I'm using the Vista Aero interface.
I've had to do what you've suggested and "get" then "set" the window text.
I've no idea why Vista doesn't behave the same as XP - the fact that
it doesn't update its state if you call Invalidate & UpdateWindow
seems patently wrong to me.
I completely agree. It seems like a Vista bug to me.
