The statement "access to all I/O ports" that they state means the code is inherently
dangerous. The problem is what will happen if someone knows a target machine is running
this library? The possibilities for D-o-S attacks, up to and including destruction of
hardware (I'm not kidding!) are almost too numerous to mention, but in addition to simple
destruction of the computer and data, these kinds of tools allow for the installation of
boot sector malware, bypassing all known security provisions in the operating system, and
make rootkits trivial.

you can do a lot more as simple I/O with this beast and it works
great. We use it for more than 5 years without any problem.
