I still think small, fast, native applications are good for commercial apps. ..NET is getting better, but it packs around a lot of overhead. Native is also better, imo, for services, drivers, etc.

My point was that C++ is the best way to do native.

Thats a no brainer. I am not sure if there is another choice. Question is now, why do you have this requirement (to be native)?
