Well, there are several problems here.
The first one is that in many places the labelling rules might be
different.
So if A-A, B-B is the normal thing in the US, in other places it might be
A1, B2, or 1-1, 2-2, etc.
This has little to do with the alphabet, but with local engineering/design
rules.
Yes you are right of course. Codes of practise will vary.
So I would start by doing a bit of research to see how things are done
in the potential markets that you care about.
Fortunately that will be someone else's responsibility :-) I shall just
bring this particular piece of code to the attention of those who will need
to know where the issue arises. I came across this when testing something
else. I had my machine set up as Russian and typed in the letter ? (f) as
the initial section letter and was suprised to see the next section labelled
with English "A" rather than Russian X.
