True, but I believe that MS has an obligation to support it to the extent
that programs written for VS6 will continue to run on new versions of the
OS. There are many thousands of apps written using VS6, which even if it
still has some bugs and limitations, can be regarded as stable as people
have coded around any limitations.
Absolutely - even if they didn't have an obligation it would be stupid
of them to break old software crash without very good reason.
16-bit programs written in VC1.52 are still running fine!
