I see your point, but I am still going to defend any program right to deny
deletion of a folder that it is using.

Crashing would be a bad idea ;o)
It could, complain about the file no longer existing and go back to Save
As... mode like it did before the file was originally saved.

If it would let you delete that folder that it just saved a file to, what
would notpad do the next time you clicked the save button? Crash?
