I was about to reply with this, "I think you can use NNTP to get the data
without going through the website." Then I did a search on the forum and
this came up
http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=742&SiteID=1&PageID=0
On the last page a guy from micrsoft said that they should have NNTP working
by the end of 2006, aleast for beta testers and MVPs to use.

I just found out about the Microsoft forums at
http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/
These are different than the newsgroups microsoft.public.* Unfortunately,
they can't be read with an NNTP reader like Outlook Express, like these
newsgroups can.
I don't know why Microsoft doesn't have one set of newsgroups, and now
they make a browser only one. But anyway, these newsgroups have a lot of
great content, and seems to be where a lot of MS employees and MVP's hang
out. Check it out!
