Could be. I didn't get the memo. I just saw all the hoopla while the C++
team was saddled with trying to figure out how to make templates and for
loops work right and keep up with all the other standards.

Well... the C# team seems to be doing a better job of marketing and
propaganda.
I think it was MSFT which did the marketing and also C++ team took it
lying
down.
