The debate over this topic seems to be ongoing and very heated. Microsoft
has created lots of opinionated competition even within it's own ranks.
I think the C++ team woke up and decided it didn't want to be in a
maintenance cycle like FoxPro and MFC, so they decided to give themselves
more relevancy in the .NET world. I'm glad they did!
I recall someone saying this in a different group about the number of
Jobs opening/ads regarding CLI/MC++ has been essentially non existent.
I actually have never seen any ads requiring this technology. For
managed world, it has all been C# or VB.Net
