Thanks both for replies. That it doesn't have MFC is a dealbreaker
for me. I have to confess that I'm ignorant regarding what VS2005 is
as opposed to the newer versions of MS development that I would call
dot net.

It's a naming thing only (Marketing Dept.). VS2002 and VS2003 had .NET
in the package name. VS2005 has not, but is the newest version.

The reason that I posted this message of doubt was that I tried to
register the darn thing, which is the only way they say it works
after thirty days, and seemed to lack the bona fides for a free
download. Tja. bfx

If it didn't cost you anything, it was free - right? :-)
