For more clarity I am posting the settings of "C/C++" tab & "Link" tab
of "project settings" property *** in VC++ 6.0.

I can't immediately spot anything amiss with the debug setting you
show so I'm at a loss to explain the problem. :(

I've only ever done 64-bit developments with VS2005/2008 though.
