You can try to use the function "ReplaceFile" to update the files and then
reboot the machine for the update to take effect.

Hi
I'm not sure if this is the right group for this question or not but I'm
sure people would have some solution. Anyway the problem I'm facing is
that
there's a dll that I need to replace in system32 folder. This dll came
with
an dialogic SDK and should've been used by dialogic related process only,
but I dont know how so many windows critical process have started to lock
it
too. The dll is libdxxmt.dll and its being used on my system by
explorer.exe, svchost.exe, and most critical winlogon.exe. I tried using
Who'sLocking tool to detect and terminate all the processes that are
locking
this dll but on terminating winlogon.exe my windows shut down. I even
tried
it in safe mode and still winlogon.exe has it locked. Is there any way to
release this dll from these processes so I can update it with a new one.
And
is it mentioned anywhere in registry or some ini that which dlls are to be
loaded by windows critical processes during bootup, this dll might have
accidently got its entry there.
I know this may not be a related question to this group, but if someone
has
any idea please help.
Regards
Usman
